I have read of a line saying that there are just two classes of air travel—first class or with children. It is true that flying with children can be a stressful time for the adults if not planned appropriately. Domestic flights may have shorter duration of trip time but how much more with international flights? Could your child survive the span of time without actually showing some tantrums or anything? Wherever your point of origin or destination is, there are ways to make flying experience a lot easier and safer especially when you are with kids.

 Plan your itinerary. If you will be having a long flight, consider not having a direct flight. You may try connecting flights. This will prevent your kids from going eccentric on the plane and for them to adjust their biological clocks.

 Choose flights around your child’s schedule. Fly when they sleep if possible and travel off season and at off-peaked times to avoid the crowd.

 Check in your luggage early. This help you keep more eye on your children and avoid the rush hour.

 Consider boarding last. Kids tend to get impatient when waiting.

 Help your kids depressurized their ears. Chewing gum or any hard candy may work. This can also be an enjoyable thing for the kids to do.

 Hand carry survival gear. This should contain all your essentials. For babies, it may have wet wipes, bib, diapers, few extra clothing and blankets.

 Coping with jet lag.

 Be safety conscious. Pay close attention to safety instructions, particularly the use of oxygen masks and life vests. You will never know when you need them. Never let your kids out of sight.

Simple as the suggestions may be, they can be hard to accomplish if you are with your kid already. So plan well to lessen the stress.
